Trimming and hurricane prep are the most requested services here. The oaks planted in the 1990s and 2000s in Meadow Pointe, Seven Oaks, and Lexington Oaks are now big enough to matter in a storm. Lot clearing and selective clearing are busy along Overpass Road, Curley Road, and the new builds around Epperson and Watergrass. Local conditions in Wesley Chapel
Wesley Chapel is in Pasco County, not Hillsborough, and that matters for permits. Pasco has its own land development code for tree removal and protection, and many communities add HOA rules on top. We check both before we quote. The ground is sandy flatwoods with wetlands and cypress heads scattered through it. Drainage and wetland buffers come up on clearing jobs more than people expect.
Most of the neighborhood trees are live oaks, laurel oaks, and magnolias planted by builders, plus queen palms and sabal palms around the entries and pools. The builder trees were often planted too deep or never staked, so a lot of the trimming work here is corrective. Along the preserve edges, the original slash pines and cypress are worth keeping but should be checked after every storm.

Storm season in Wesley Chapel
Wesley Chapel is inland and mostly takes wind, not water. In the 2024 storms, the common failure was builder-planted laurel oaks with tight forks and thick crowns that had never been thinned. A spring thinning fixes most of that. For the pines on the edges of the newer neighborhoods, a look at the trunk after each storm is worth it.
